I have a date! 10/07/08

I just found out I will be getting my VSG on Oct 7th. They had a cancellation and i was able to just squeeke in. I'm so excited right now. I have to start the liquid diet tomorrow and I just purchased my plane ticket. I will be going alone so that is the one thing I'm most nervous about at this point.

I couldn't afford to do the surgery here like I planned so after much research and discussion with people on here I am now going with Dr Alvarez in Mexico. He has actually done more Sleeve surgeries then any Dr I could find in Georgia. So that gives me confidence.

My surgery is scheduled for October 10th in Monterrey, Mexico, with Dr. Roberto Rumbaut.  Since I live in the area, the language is not a problem with me, but I can understand how much courage it must take for someone who does not speak Spanish and is not really acquainted with Mexico, to take this huge step.  May God bless you.  Hugs, Brenda
