Dr. Lopez Corvola
There were some posts on the board lately about this surgeon and some tragic consequences when a patient apparently had some severe complications. The post I read indicated the patient had died but just know that from the post. While this is really scary info the reality is that any MD can have a bad outcome which may or my not be as a result of something the MD did wrong or even how experienced the MD may be. I happened to be in Tijuana having my VSG done and was aware that there was a surgery that had some bad complications. I had my VSG surgery done by Francisco Contreras and I could not have been happier with the outcome. My sugery was this past Friday and I have not taken any pain meds since I got back home on Monday. I am drinking with no problems and have been able to get my protein in. I am still on a liquid diet so can't speak much to how I will do when I get real food but I don't anticipate any problems. My incisions are healing nicely. Please feel free to PM if you have any questions.
I am just back In Canada from having Lap band with Dr. Corvala. The facility was excellent. The dr's and nurses and staff were efficient & curtious. I would have no problem recomending this Dr. Or facilty to anyone . My husband even had lasik surgury on his eyes while we were there. I have a link for Dr. Corva"s Resume you can check out.
