so, you go and get surgery for what ever reason in Mexico. You come home and then have complications . . . who takes care of you? Does your insurance cover that?

I am not sure what kind of complication's you are talking about.
But before you leave you are pretty much out of the woods on having any complication's. I would say if you do develop one your insurance would cover whatever it was. Something that you would have to ask your ins. co. though.

I called my primary doctor and asked if I would continue to see him for any problems. So, just like I didn't have sx and something came up..I would go to him first then he would refer to a gastroenterologist (sp?).  My insurance sucks, so I never really consider that! Sorry!
