Has anyone heard of either of these two doctors??

I have been referred to Dr. Almanza at the  Emmanuel Medical Center. I can not find out anything on this doctor either. I did speak to a patient that had the lapband surgery at the Emmanuel Center in May 2008.  She said that the clinic was named after the owner which was another doctor named couthcourt or something like that.  I am still researching this so if you find anything, please let me know. thanks. kc

I decided to go wtih Dr. Liza Maria Pompa Gonzalez.  I just returned from Tijuana on Saturday after having the sleeve surgery.  I was impressed with Dr. Pompa.  She is such an smart lady and very professional.  She visited me each day I was there and answered all of my questions in fluent english.  Everyone spoke english except for one very kindly nurse and the clean up man.

I would not hesitate to have medical procedures there again.
In fact, I am researching taking my son there to have his wisdom teeth removed  later in the fall.

I was treated like I was the only patient and I had no problems or complications with the surgery.
I would use this doctor again with no hesitations.

I too have heard nothing but wondering things about this doctor.  I ended up going to the Emmanual Clinic for lap band surgery on 7/13/08.  Dr. Mario Almanza was my surgeon and he did an awesome job.  I would go back to him as well.  My incissions are awesome and the scaring will be minimal.  I feel great so far and would go back for any further surgy as well. 

Emmanual is the new Betancourt.  Betancourt's rep was so horrific they changed their name again to hide who they really are.

Be very careful.  I'd do a search of "betancourt' and "molding clinic" both here and do it again on www.lapbandtalk.com.

Patti poses as patients over here and tells you how wonderful their doctors are.  One of the doctors you mention doesn't even speak English so I hope your Spanish is good.
