Lots of information needed!

There are more options than lapband or rny- each procedure has a board that lists pos and cons of each surgery- take the time to learn about all your options I was dead set on getting the band until i hit a wall with my insurance- then i decided on vsg  but you might prefer a ds or you might finally decide on rny- take the time to research all your options - and talk to your doctor  people here are happy to share their experiences- it's a wonderful community.

hello there...from one Arkansas lady to another.. I went to Dr. Joya for a VSG, which I highly recommend over a band.. there are so many people that have trouble with thier band...and eventually have it removed. Ive met quite a few ladies on OH that this has happened to. Plus, all the fills/unfills. Ive heard from several doctors that they dont do the fills unless they put in the band themselves....so I wouldnt know who to go to for them.  Please visit us on the VSG board and u can learn alot about it...and us...we are a big family over there.. Anyway....I had a complication with Dr. Joya..but he repaired it with ease...and I didnt have any problems after that...I didnt have to stay in the hospital any longer bc of my complication. My situation was riskier bc my BMI is over 70. I knew the risks going into it...but would do it all over again. I had my surgery on March 17....so in the month of March, I lost 25 lbs....and for me..this is awesome. I havent lost that much weight in over 10 yrs...so Im extremely happy. If u want to talk sometime..just PM me... as for financing....Ive heard that some docs do this...but I just paid cash, so Im not sure about it. I know Dr. Joya has a list on his website of places that u can get loans thru... good luck
