Which doctor to chose? Financing?

I am looking at getting lap band done in Mexico and was looking at Dr. Ortiz and Dr. Joya. So many people have said good things about both. Dr. Joya's all inclusive price honestly seems to good to be true. The interest rates on financing are highter than I would like. Who did you use?

I'm heading out to Puerto Vallarta to have lapband with Dr Joya on October 19, tentatively. I haven't applied for his financing, but I am going to. However, I'm planning on checking on my local bank's financing as well. Getting Dr Joya's great all inclusive price with a decent interest rate all while losing weight: what could be better? Just Wondering though, what kind of interest rate were you being offered? I'd like a heads up before my application goes through. Also, is it through a regular US bank or one in mexico?

Hello, I had my surgery on July 17, 2007 with Dr. Owens in TJ at Angeles Hospital. His office is in San Pedro Ca but also perform surgery in Tj for almost half the price for self payer. I finance the surgery through Capital One, the interest rate was little high (17%) but it was set up as a loan and not a credit line. I best part is that I would not have to travel to TJ for any follow ups. It will be done in the state and this would includes one year of fills. But, you can always put some of the cost on your personal credit card with a lower apr and finance the rest. If you want more info you can email me [email protected]. Thanks, Amy
