Passport

I have a surgery date of August 2, 2007 in Mexico and I have not got my passport yet! Will I be able to get it or proof of it by the 2nd? I have been out of town for a week, and the quickest I can get to the post office is Monday the 30th. Has anyone had an experience and needed one very quick? This could really put a damper on my plans!

They do have an expedited service but I don't think it's as quick as you need it. http://travel.state.gov/passport/get/first/first_831.html Can you fly into a US border city and cross by car or foot? Only air travel requires a passport (FYI this changes Jan 2008.) Best of luck, ~Michelle

Hi- You can also go on the website Michelle pasted and print out a Proof of passport.... it shows that it's been ordered and airports are excepting that.
