Anyone having problems with finding a doctor that will see you in US?

My name is Rebecca and after years and years of having my insurance deny my surgery; I opted to have a Lapband installed in Tijuana, Mexico. However, I haven't had any luck. I haven't lost any weight and now am unable to find a doctor that will touch me. What is worst is that I am experiencing sharp pains in my abdomen. I am now living in NY and looking for any information on a doctor that will see patients that have been banded in Mexico. Can anyone help me?

I currently drive seven hours for follow-up care with Dr Curry (Dr C on the message boards) for my follow-up care but there is no doctor that I can follow-up with I live in SC.

Thank you so much for the information. I will call - I'm desperate. I've had 7 fills and believe that the lapband is ruptured. I even called Lapband's manufacturer about my problem and they couldn't make the doctors in my area see me. We have one doctor here that is famous for being on Oprah and his office was outright rude to me when I mentioned that I had the surgery in Mexico.

Have you ever had a fill? You must have periodic fills for the band to work. Here is the list of doctors I have. I am having my surgery in Mexico and I have already arrange with Fill center usa for my follow up care and my twu weeks check up for my suture site. Maybe you can try them they are everywhere. Yamen

This is late coming but wanted to post that I also called fillcentersusa prior to scheduling surgery.  I know where I'll go, who I will see, the costs...everything.   Found it very helpful to have this set before having the surgery and it was so easy.
