Dr. Joya

I any seriously considering using Dr. Joya for my VSG. I will be self pay and $11,000 is also the best price I've found. Has anyone out there used him? I feel like i've done as much research on him as possible & feel really confident. Any imput would be greatly appreciated. Texas Girl

I'm scheduled for my VSG with Dr. Joya on 8/28. I'll certainly post the results. I'm very excited and not nervous at all, based on the other posts about Dr. Joya on his surgeon review page. We'll see if I get nervous on the 28th! Deanne

I had LAP RNY with Dr Joya March 13th 2006. I was treated great and would Highly recomend him and his staff!!

Instead of Dr. Joya I had my surgery with Dr. Mikler (www.byebyeobesity.com) in Colombia, 200% Recommended, everything went great, all the byebyeobesity staff are very professional and kind. The price is around U$13.9K and is worth it. I got financing with medicredit. Best of Luck Amanda

I had RNY - proximal with Dr. Joya on November 28, 2005. I have since lost 173 pounds and it has been just over 10 months! I had the best care and would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Joya - he and his staff are absoultely incredible! The resort is beautiful!!! The one word of advice I can offer is that if you do choose Dr. Joya - opt for the room in the tower with the ocean view!!! It is like $20 extra per night - and totally worth it!!!! Puerto Vallarta is beautiful! Good luck with your journey!
