i wanted to know how long they leave the staples in you? is it forever.

I did not have staples, I had the stiches, the internal ones dissolve evenutally, the stiches they put in post surgery were taken out before I left Mexico. Hope this information is helpful! Christina

Forever. I have staples that are reinforced by stiching. They do NOT set off any metal detectors. -Pam
