How long were you in MX for surgery?

Hi all! How long did each of you stay in Mexico for surgery? Also, who was your doc? Thanks! Teri M

I was in Mexico for 12 days I think, but my trip was part vacation too. My surgery was done by Dr Aguirre Jeremy

I had the RNY with Dr. Joya and was in Mexico for 11 days. I actually left a day earlier than they wanted me to. I came back to work the day after I arrived home. Surgery 3/17/06 Starting Weight: 246 Current Weight: 196 50lbs lost~!

We used Dr Rumbaut. We were there a total of 10 days. Two days before surgery. The day of surgery. Two days in the hospital. Then 5 days recovery at the hotel. Bridget

I was 5 daysin Tijuana with my friend Maggy. She got there on sunday, surgery on monday out of the hospital on wednesday, back home in Fontana, CA on Thursday. She had Dr. Salvador Valencia Patty

I was in mexico for 8 days with Dr Joya. I had my surgery the day after I got there, was in the hospital for 4 days and then in the hotel for another 3. You didn't say what kind of surgery you were looking to have. I had the lapband and three days total was fine but I would suggest one more day after surgery for those that have a long way to travel home. Generally you get there the day before surgery for Post-Op work, surgery the next day then the day after surgery many chose to go home or others stay for one more day. So I say 3-4 depending on your travel time home (with the lap-band surgery). Jamie Dr. Kuri 12/13/03
