For knowing I have a reason to be here..
For a great deal on a blackberry that I am going to get..
For phone calls that make you laugh..
For the struggles of life.. Death has got to be easy, because life is hard.. It will leave you physically, mentally and emotionally scarred.. (sorry I had a 50 cent moment)
That I have a story to share and although I am almost 5 years out I am still inspiring people..

Why were you prescribed Adderall? Curious, as I'm a LMHC and very familiar with the drug. Since it is a stimulant, you need to be careful to make sure that you are getting your caloric and protein intake to stay healthy. That is the most important thing right now.
It is not uncommon for WLS patients to pick up a new addiction, as we have forfeited a socially acceptable one (over eating).
The one you have chosen, if abused, can lead to renal failure, heart failure, death. Please keep reaching out, and find some professional help. I'm here if ya wanna chat.
Hugs,
Kathy
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning in
It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

03/23 REFLECTION FOR THE DAY
The Program teaches us, through the experience, strength and hope of its fellowship, that the worst situation imaginable does not warrant a return to our addiction. No matter how bad a particular situation or set of cir****tances, the return to our old ways for even a minute will assuredly make it worse. AM I GRATEFUL FOR THE SHARING AND CARING OF THE PROGRAM?
TODAY I PRAY
May I insist that no stone can be heavy enough to drag me back down into the pool of my addiction. No burden, no disappointment, no blow to pride or loss of human love is worth the price of returning to my old way of life. When I harbor thoughts that life is "too much" for me, that no one should be expected to "take so much and still remain sane" or that I am "the fall guy, " let me listen for the tone of my complaints and remember that I have heard that whine before -- BEFORE I concluded that I was powerless over the chemical and gave my will over to the Will of God. Such wailing sets me up for getting high again. May God keep my ears alert to the tone of my own complaining.
TODAY I WILL REMEMBER
Hear my own complaints.
It is good to have an end to journey towards; but it is the journey that matters in the end. ~Ursula K. LeGuin
Today I am grateful..

I am a former smoker and used to smoke 3 packs a day for well over 30 years. My breathing was so bad I had to go to the hospital on several occasions. A friend of mine told me that laser therapy to quit smoking is very effective.
My cousin in Kingston read an ad in the local paper offering laser therapy for only $99. I booked an appointment and went there with my cousin.
I was a bit shocked to find out they only accept "cash" as payment. Regardless I went to my appointment. When I got there I was greeted by a man and his very large dog. I was expecting a clinic atmosphere.
Anyways I ended up going through with the treatment. The owner of the company mentioned he was self taught. That definately made me nervous as I was already in the middle of my treatment.
Unfortunately I ended up smoking pretty much after leaving his home.
I ended up google searching laser therapy and found a laser clinic who's a member of the BBB. After speaking with them I booked an appointment. I am happy to announce I am now a non smoker thanks to Omega. I don't have their phone number handy but if you google search they are easy to find.
Please be careful and do your research.
All the best,
J Walker
Thanks for replying. It is not easy, but it is doable. I did get to a Beginners' Meeting and shared. I am busy and staying that way.
Gonna make another meeting this afternoon.

I did make it without a drink. I called my sponsor and went to a Beginner's Meeting. I was also busier than heck.
Thanks for the encouragement.
