I've been told by my plastic surgeon to quit smoking for 1 mo. Prior to having lower body lift and breast lift. I've done well but slip up every once in a while. Does anyone know if they will do a nicotine test to see if I've been smoking when they do the required blood tests? Does anyone know how long it takes nicotine to clear out of your blood? Thanks

hi there I am having rny with OMalley and he states 6 weeks nicotene free or no surgery He also said that they check one in 3 patients as part of the pre op blood work I know that nicotene shows up in the blood stream until 6 weeks after your last ciggie. I also know that Insurance companies always do the nicotene test to ensure that clients saying they are non smokers are actually non smokers to get the lower premium. So ... from what i know nicotene will show up in blood work/urine/follicle test until you have been clean for 6 weeks eli
