MY FAMILY DR. HAS PUT ME ON A MED FOR PATIENTS WITH ALCOHOL DEPENDANCY. THE DRUG IS CAMPRAL( ACAMPROSATE CALCIUM) 333mg. I WAS PUT IN JAIL THIS PAST MAY AND PUT ON COLOR CODE (DRUG TESTING). I WAS ARRESTED FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, WELL I WAS DRUNK ALSO!!! I HAVE TOLD THESE PEOPLE OVER AND OVER AGAIN THAT I DON'T HAVE A DRINKING PROBLEM, A STORY I'M SURE THEY HAVE HEARD A MILLION TIMES!!! I HAVE STUCK WITH THAT STORY THE WHOLE TIME AND I HAVE NEVER FAILED A TEST FOR ANYTHING! SO, I DON'T WANT TO WALK IN THERE AND TELL THEM I'M TAKING THIS DRUG AND HAVE TO EXPLAINE WHY. I HAVE LOOKED ALL OVER THIS INTERNET AND CAN'T FIND ANYTHING THAT WILL TELL ME IF THIS DRUG WILL CAUSE A POSITIVE TEST! I KNOW AS LONG AS I HAVE A PERSCIPTION FOR IT I WILL BE FINE IF FOR SOME REASON IT RESULTS IN A FALSE POSITIVE READING! BUT, I DON'T WANT THEM TO KNOW IF THEY DON'T HAVE TO!! ANY HELP ON FINDING INFO OR AN ANSWER ON THIS WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU

Most of the drug screens are pretty specific and do not pick up other drugs... they are looking for the commonly abused drugs... outside of those nothing much will show up. I felt the same way when they put me on antidepressants for a while and had to get a drug screen for a new job. Good luck B
