30 days of sobriety
First, I want to thank Rhonda and Da Dawg for their faithfulness in posting regularly. Don't let some people sway you from your service here.
As most of you know, I was in a psychiatric hospital and then a rehab for a few weeks. I made it to 30 days of sobriety on Saturday. I am so grateful, and have learned so much in recent weeks. This time, I learned things about myself, and God has been teaching me what I need to know in gentle ways, because some of this stuff is disturbing.
God bless.

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

Thank you Trish..
I'm not deterred from posting. I realize that it's people who appear.. "unsettled" that needs the posts the most. Perhaps.. they will read "something" that will inspire them as much as it does for myself and others. But if not.. so be it! We will reap the benefits..
Speaking of benefits.. I'm soooo happy that you are doing well and the last stay in the hospital and rehab has helped you so much. Keep learning and sharing.. and I'll keep you in my prayers!

Congrats on the 30 days..
I don't let what people say bother me.. I know that I can't control their reactions only my reactions so that is what is helping me stay sober this time.. If it is God's will I will reach it next week.. Keep me in your thoughts..

Congrats on 30 days Trish.
I have not been here for a long time as I am taking 6 classes this semester so that I can graduate in May, do my practicum in the summer, and then take the state exam so I can start my 1000 counseling internship. And then - when I am done with that I will be a licensed chemical dependency counselor....YEAH!!!!!!!
Remaining sober has to be a daily job - the one day at a time saying is the truth. And for me it still remains one minute at a time sometimes!
