mens mental health after gastric bypass

Is there a hormone that effects mens mental health after the weightloss? 
for the female, periods start or resume...

I know i heard something about estrogen being stored in fat...does that effect men also, and how?

I am going to presume that it impacts men too - I know for many women - not only does the wls impact periods - it can impact PMS, etc.
You might see if anyone on the men's forum will answer this....(Without giving you too hard a time being on the "men's" site!)

Hello I will try to answer .
It is true there is estrogen stored in the fat and when men lose alot quickly the body is flooded with it. This in turn plays HELL on men as you can understand. One min we happy one min we are a blubbering mess and the next mad as hell about what ?? I dont know .
This is what I went through . Went to the Dr was told it will pass.
If there were problems with depression before hand , or pre WLS then seek pro help. Hope this helped .
