Did a total of 25 days in alcohol treatment in-patient. (Insurance would not pay for the full 28 days as "I had made so much progress" per my counselor.)
I am feeling that I have learned a lot of new tools and am better prepared to deal with my addiction for the rest of my life. Working on the 90 in 90 (Kind of hard since I do live in a rural area, but have managed to line up meetings for every day of the week that are w/in 20 miles of me for every day, but Sunday's.). Have set up sessions with a therapist to deal with childhood/adolescent abuse and sexual assault.
Hoping to make some new sober friends in AA.....

Awesome!!!  Good for you on your treatment and your progress.  Have you gotten a sponsor yet?  I have found mine to be invaluable.

Keep us posted.

Trish

Hi there, I am pretty new at this program too.  My name is Kim and I am 41 days clean and sober today 6-15-09.  I was in and inpatient program for 15 days, I got out 3 weeks ago.  Today is an awesome day.  I go to AA meetings every morning at 7 am, they help so so much, I even found a sponsor.  This morning I saw my therapist too.  The therapist really helps alot.  We can tell them pretty much anything without being judged, and their advise seems very helpful,  with the right tools I know the program will work for us Alcoholics.  If you ever need a friend Anne, to talk to I will be here for you, okay... take care and hope you have a great day.

Kimmy:
I have my "eye" on a sponser - hoping she is at the meeting I am going to on Wednesday. I am 30 days as of today - which rocks. Longest I have gone w/o drinking for nearly 4 years.
Each day is amazing.
I met with a new therapist last Friday and she seems to be awesome. I am excited at that - as I have had a couple of other therapist's that just did not click w/ me.
