Grateful Post..

Good Monday Morning..

Today is a hard day for me.. Many of you know that, due to me being a dumb@ss I was burned pretty bad over the weekend.  My body and my face have pretty bad burns on them.. The doc said they are going to be okay but that there may be some discoloration of my face..
 
Many of you also know just how much of a self centered arrogant ******* I am and to hear this news has been sort of devasting to me.. I mean honestly, how arrogant am I, when I take pictures I always have to be on the right side because of the dimple but that may not mean anything because that is the side that I have the worse burns on.. I have been sulking around for the last couple of days, playing it off with friends talking about being "mancha" (mancha meaning stained or marked up) man..  But deep down it has bothered me until Debra and I talked about what should really be important.. How blessed I am to have sight and that I was not burned worse.. Had it not been for the cheap sunglasses I had on who know what could have happened.. I am a very blessed man so here goes a grateful post from my heart not Manch man's..

I am grateful for the kind stranger that saw the accident happen and stayed with me for 15 minutes providing me wet towels to put on  my face and wouldn't leave until she thought I was going to be okay..

I am grateful for the kind lady at the gas station who gave me a cloth towel so I could keep the burns cool and moist..

I am grateful for cheap sunglasses.. They probably saved my sight..

I am grateful for the prayers, thoughts and calls from my friends..  Although, I am a hard headed man and didn't listen to them either..

I am grateful for Dr. LoMonaco who called in some pain meds when I really needed them..

And last but certainly not least I am grateful for Debra.. She has been beside me taking care of me.. Making sure I was oiling, and doing all the things I should be doing.. I honestly don't know where I would be without her..  I am just amazed at her willingness to give.. I am a blessed man to have her as a friend.. I love you, Debra..
