Trazadone

Does anyone take trazodone as part of their recovery?  Thanks!  Lori

I have been taking it for about six months now.  My Doctor perscribed it as a sleep aid because of my addiction he didn't feel it was safe to give me Ambien or Lunesta.  I do take it religiously every night because nighttime was my time to "drink" so it does help me in that sense get to sleep and stay asleep which is really nice for a change!

I took Trazadone....suprisingly it worked. I'm still sober.

I take it but for insomnia, not recovery.  It works when things like ambien and lunesta dont.... have been on it for years now, no addictive properties and feel great in teh mroning.. .but it will knock you on your ass quickly so be ready for bed!!

I've been taking it for 11 years now.  It is the ONLY thing that helps me sleep.  You may feel "hung over" for a couple of weeks after taking it, but soon you will feel refreshed and ready to take on the day.  Good luck to you!
