Three Eyed Fish

Hey Everyone,
Michelle is so right.  I met a guy last night that I had been e-mailing and talking to on the phone.  What a dud.  First, he asked me if I wanted a drink, and when I said I would have iced tea, he discussed how he would like to get me to drink a little wine.  I said I don't drink and he said, there is nothing wrong with a little wine.  I then told him I can't because of medical reasons, and he said what do doctors know.  RED FLAG.

Then, he wanted to get into my pants, and get my hands into his pants.  As tempting as the attention was, I didn't want to, and he just would not accept my reasons, or values.  He also put down my religious beliefs, and downplayed my spiritual values.

The good news is, I respected myself and my sobriety enough to stand up for my values and beliefs.  There was a time, I would not have done that, because I would not have wanted to give up the attention of any man, even a "three eyed fish."

How many times will I not listen to wise advice?  Insanity is doing the same thing over and over, expecting a different result.  I am still a little insane.

Hugs,
Trish

Trish, you truly are an inspiration!!  I think it's awesome to read that you respected yourself enough and listened to the inner voice telling you that you DESERVE SO MUCH BETTER THAN A THREE EYED FISH!!! :)

Hugs.
Marie
