New to this forum
Hi to All. I am new to posting, although I have come here to read the posts from time to time over the last couple of years. I will be 5 years post-opfor my RNY on July 17th, and I will be 15 months sober. When I had my surgery, I didnn't think I would be someone who would turn from one addiction to another, but that's what happened. It was a gradual process, but I started stuffing those feelings of insecurity, loneliness, fear (you name it) down with alcohol instead of food. Over the last 20 months, I've been more concerned about my sobriety than my weight, and I have regained 30 lbs, so I now need to lose that again, along with the additional 35-40 lbs I intended to take off with my RNY. I am a single parent with 2 sons-a 12yr old at home, and a 20yr old who is currently in the NAVY- and I know that giving my sons a sober Mom is the best thing I can do for all of us, but I am now worrying about the weight gain, and need help getting back on track. I want to be both sober AND healthy! Any suggestions are very welcome! Thank you in advance!
