OK guys, 2 things.....Well, to start off with, I have been on vicodin for ATLEAST a year, am now on Norco (10mg), well, actually, I am not suppose to be taking it anymore because I have been put the Fentanyl Patch (25mcg), BUT, I AM still taking it, about 8 a day, I just cant stop. Heres the thing, I have an appt. in about a week & I am predicting that they are going to pee test me (just a gut feeling). SO, how long will the withdrawls last & how bad? Also, will it be out of my system with in a weeks time? I have looked it up on goggle, & have read, for the most part, that it takes about 3-7 days to get out of the system, & atleast a week of withdrawl, is this about right?? Not looking forward to this.... Angelic

Angel Vicodin is my drug of choice and it is NOT fun detoxing. I need at least 3 days. I have alot of plastic surgeries and my PS prefers vicodin but he monitors how much he gives me. When I am detoxing I feel like I have the flu really bad for about 3 days..layin in bed, tired, no appitite, etc.. It's a rough few days..good luck.

Ok well I will admit I am a vicdon fan myself I was at one time taking 40 10/500 a day and about the same as soma's. I went to a website turntohelp.com a drug called suboxone it is like magic it does not show up on a drug test. They made me sign a thing saying I would not take any more vicdon but here is the deal I still have pain but I can take the sub as I am supposed to most insurance do not cover this type of stuff. But if I am on my sub and take a pain pill it will kill the pain but I do not get the "high" out of it. I mean the sub can help you stop all the way but if you have real pain well you have todo what I do. See I have 3 disk in my lower back all 3 together and I was explained they were like jelly donuts and those 3 the jelly is all gone I could not walk for a year I also have a small spinal canal so it pinches my nerves my left leg will fall a sleep from knee down the right leg just pain shoots down it very bad. But the sub is a wonder drug if you ask me I mean I was off for a while the vicdons as well I do not take soma's anymore just some 5/500's when pain hits I am in Baghdad Iraq which sucks because there is nothing like that.  Except Valium which helps a bit. But when I return home I plan on stocking up since I am here 4 months at a time. I am lucky I have a doctor that understand my pain. I was supposed to have back surgery 2 years ago but that was when I had wls and major complications and could not stand anymore cutting. Good luck depends on how many a day you take to clean out your system if normal use 3 days but withdraws suck you will yawn a lot alligator tears will come with those you will need a restroom close by. If not this time check into the sub for a break from the norco's. turntohelp.com find a doctor. Good luck

Hello, my name is Carolann and I'm an ADDICT ! ! I was addicted to Vicodin and Percocet at one time.  I went to a addiction specialist that knows his stuff and an out-patient program.  He put me on suboxone and I have been drug and alcohol free for 18 months.  The secret is you must get involved in a recovery group.  You can't do it on your own.   I wish you the best............it can be done!!   Carolann
