Hangin int there

Good Morning Recovery Family, I am hanging in there.  I have been to two meetings since my brother's passing.  I have not acted out, or drank, but I did binge on cookies the night after the funeral.  That was the worst of it.   I still want to numb out the feelings, and not deal with the pain.  But, as I said in a meeting, drinking won't bring him back.  Plus, my psychiatrist, who also treated my brother, encouraged me to think of my brother's smiling face every time I am tempted to act out, and make him proud of me.   I appreciate the support here. Hugs, Trish
Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.
