Ask your family doctor for the patch, or try the nicorette gum.

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

I just had my surgery on 2/13 and came home yesterday. I tried so hard to quit before and was down to 1 or 2 a day. I met the surgeon the first time on 1/24 and he said he wanted me without cigs for 3 weeks. 2 days before my surgery, I put on a patch, he had said the patches were ok. I was so nervous when I got to the hopsital that they would cancel. They didn't even ask about any cigarettes!! My oxygen intake was 98 out of 100 which they tested thru my fingernails. No i am home and still want to smoke.... I know this is even more dangerous but it is the only thing getting me through this big change. Now I feel like I have to quit all over again......I didn't have any problems in the hopsital and actually the doctor's commented on how well I came through. Not to say that this is ok, but hope it helps.
