My power got turned off yesterday -- gas and electric -- because I couldn't keep up with the payments. I kept getting extensions with doctor's notes, but they expired and then my doctor didn't fill out another form. For the longest time, they wouldn't make a payment arrangement with me, because I had broken two previous arrangements. Finally, yesterday they made an arrangement with me, I was able to borrow some money from my son in order to get turned back on, but they said it could take up to 72 hours to get the power back on. So far, it's still off.
I had an interesting evening. I had to spend more money I didn't have to buy food to eat because I couldn't cook anything. Then I went to the dollar store to spend more money I didn't have to buy candles.
But then came the fun part. We lit the candles, and my 4 children and I sat around it while one son played his guitar, and we acted like it was a campfire and sang songs like Kumbaya. We had a blast, and I am so grateful for these children (ages 21, 20, 15 and 13). I am so blessed by them.
I have GOT to learn to manage my money. It is the last stronghold on my life. I'm praying that the house sells quickly so that I can HAVE some money, but then I've got to learn to be self-disciplined so I don't completely blow it. Prayers appreciated.
Trish, I feel your pain.
Blessings, Jill

Hi Jill,
My cell phone got turned off this week, and I am broke and can't pay it. Kind of feel anxious at times without it.
I am hanging in there. Frank keeps calling, and I keep letting it go to voicemail.
Hang in there.
Hugs,
Trish
