AA conference..

Dan and I have been attending an AA convention this weekend locally...  We were able to hear 2 leads yesterday.. by Howie H. (Cinn, OH) and Scott R. (LA, CA) and both were very good and funny.. altho I found that I liked Scott's sense of humor more..  and bought a 4 CD tape album titled Healing Through Laughter and Scott is on one of the CD's along with Steve B., Ilene W. and Wayne B. Today we got there to hear a 9am lead... and went to an Alanon.. and Old Timers Panel.. and for the last lead tonight was Sandy B. (Tampa, FL)..   he has like 42/43 years sobriety.. and I heard he and Clancy were excellent speakers.  And I must say.. I LOVED HIM.  What a complete joy to listen to.. such an inspiration.. and wonderful humor.. I actually laughed out loud.. which I don't very often.  I ended up buying a 3 CD album of him titled God Is Everything or He is Nothing.   Anywho.. just sharing.. and if you get a chance to hear these gentlemen.. especially Sandy B.. please go!!  oh yeah.. they held a Count Down.. (first I've been too) and was very touched.. and Dan and I had a tear in our eye when 2 people had 1 day sober and received a standing ovation.. it was a beautiful thing!! hugsss
