I made two meetings today.

Okay, so I stayed home sick today and made a meeting this morning and then went to a meeting tonight, where I saw my sponsor.   I am going crazy today obsessing about my mom and Mother's Day and junk.  After the meeting, I spoke with my sponsor who pointed out that Mom may be having a hard time this year, as it is the first Mother's Day since my brother died.  I had not thought of that before.  Mom had been acting strange all week.  Really distant and off. She also turned down an invitation to join my son and I for dinner tomorrow night.  And, she is talking about not joining me on my trip to visit my daughter after she has her baby in June.  She keeps saying she does not want to impose.   I have to let it go and not obsess about it. Hey Trish, I'm sure everything will turn out ok. Mothers Day is much harder after losing a child, according to my sister. And age doesn't matter. Maybe you can persuade her to come to dinner...it will help her to be with family. Marie
