Made another meeting
Today I went to a Big Book meeting and we read the first chapter, Bill's Story. What an inspiration. To think that this hopeless alcoholic, whose wife had been told to expect him to die in a year of alcholism, not only got sober, but started helping other alcoholics and out of that was born Alcoholics Anonymous. The key to his recovery was reaching out to other alcoholics to help them get sober. That self-lessness is the secret to AA. Alcoholics are selfish by nature and AA teaches us to get out of that and reach out to the still suffering alcoholics.
So, what are you doing to help another sufferer? I hope you are being good to yourself and helping others in your life find a better way.
Hugs,
Trish
