Congrats on the new job Don.

My week was typical but good. Exercise good, eating not as good, work was mediocre.

Have a great week guys!

Congrats Don on the new job! I'm enjoying my after retirement part time gig. Nice to have a little extra cash.

Good week to all!

Try as I might this morning I could not get scales to go lower.

This has not been a good week news wise. Handful of celebs from the 80's and 90's passed and the assassination attempt in PA. It could have a been a lot worse.

Went back to work Friday! Yes, it is a police job in yet another small town near here but Chief strikes me as being a good dude who knows his business. Won't be sworn in till tomorrow after I get back from a long-scheduled doctor appointment and City Hall is open. They are regularly closed on Fridays. Kidding Chief Friday that I am going "uptown" since they have TWO traffic lights! More importantly HEALTH INSURANCE after 60 days! Not paying for that out of pocket will be a fat "raise" in and of itself.

Managed to get some rower time in and yard work yesterday. Caught some sun too. Rosy cheeks and burnt feeling neck and nose.

Have a Great Week, Gentlemen!!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

We got some wind and an inch and a half of rain and that was it for us. Folks down in Houston, Galveston and SE TX took it the brunt of it. Apples to oranges but if Hurricane Ike was a 10 in terms of being a BAD, BAD storm - Beryl was a 3. Loss of life was minimal, although one death from a storm is one too many, flooding and power outages were not as widespread. HPD lost one of their civilian employees to high water yesterday because he ignored the "turn around, don't drown" message. Prayers for his friends and family. Because of his skill set he was considered "essential" and was trying to drive to work when he drove into high water.

It's hot as hell around me and spent the fourth getting a bad sunburn but had fun doing it, so no regrets.

Long as you had fun getting burnt!

Weights stable around low 160's, exercise is good, food is always a challenge.

It's hot as hell around me and spent the fourth getting a bad sunburn but had fun doing it, so no regrets.

Have a great week!

Family, friends, and a pool made for a good 4th party, and a 5 day weekend for me! Yesterday had a graduation party to attend. Wife and I are partied out now. Just going to relax and maybe float around in the pool today.

Good week to all!

Nothing like that here because of dogs. Heard a bunch from the Lake though. Quick trip to SBX yesterday and the boat ramps and the County park were full. Now waiting to see where Beryl is going to go and do this week.

Thanks, Bob, for holding down the fort last week. Quasi impromptu trip to MS for her family reunion came up and bit me.

Have a Greak Week, Gentlemen!!
