Been in Limbo all week waiting for workman's comp to get their stuff sorted so I can go to the orthopedic doctor. Going to have to get a better plan for feeding myself on this unexpected 'vacation.' Technically I'm on light duty but other than a couple hours of online training this week and a meeting next week I have just been hanging out at the house.
My dog does the same - right after he finishes eating, he looks at everyone like he should be on a commercial for abused starving dogs, and gets a load of sympathy treats.

This has been the warmest winter in my lifetime. I'm looking forward to getting out biking again soon.

Well, to spice things up at work, I fell off a truck on Friday morning. Preliminary verdict is I broke my left wrist. I was up for about 23 hours straight (with about 6 hours of that wading through the Workman's comp process) before I got x-rayed and then fitted with a splint.. Still waiting for an arbiter to be assigned so I can be sent on to an orthopedic doctor. Probably will just wind up with a cast for 4-6 weeks.

Cleveland has it's own (Slovenian) style of Mardi Gras called Kurentovanje. Cleveland has the largest population of Slovenians outside of Slovenia and for the last 11 years they have been bringing it back together with a parade, ethnic food, drink and lots of polka bands. A family friendly great event. Pictured below is a Kurent, a mythical creature that comes out before Lent to scare Winter away.
