This Week 211.5
Cold and rainy today. Out of the teens from a few days ago to the upper 40's to 50's in the next few days. Good days to pick up dog crap before it snows again :-) Nothing planned for today, and that's OK.
Good week to all

Seeing comment about 5" of snow reminds me of reel on FB of old "Newlywed" game clip with Eubank talking to the wife about her wanting snow on her wedding day. She commented "I did not have snow on my wedding day, but I got 8" on my honeymoon!"
Cowboys playing Monday night so today is free and clear football wise. Although wanting to see Georgia take one on the chin yesterday out of a "they are getting to be another Alabama" I did not want Texas to win because of being first year in SEC. Let them, and OU, pay some dues in the conference then get championship. Looks like all the predicted winners won yesterday. Now to next round. With when, where and who plays who yet to be determined.
We took RAV4 load to donate in Tyler Friday. Amazing how much room you have in closets after you get excess clothing off hangers and junk off shelves and out of drawers. Still plenty to go!
Have a Great Week, Gentlemen!!

Ah, finally a small thaw out here with sun and temp****ting near 50. A far cry from last week when areas north of us got hit with over 5' of snow. This will be a good day to turn off and drain the outdoor water lines and cover some patio furniture. Then out with some friends to watch the Browns Steelers game on TV.
Good week to all!
Boiled or grilled shrimp, whether fajitaed or wrapped in bacon, is a staple for us. There was some plain white rice that was supposed to go with the gumbo but made do with a little bit of dirty rice since gizzard space is limited! People think cajun/coonass cooking is supposed to loaded with 10 million Scoville units but some of us like to taste the meat not the heat! Ex-brother-in-law mixed his super hot. Could not eat it!

Managed Thanksgiving well. Even with bringing some leftovers home.
Cajun sounds SO good! I love dirty rice, even though it comes from a Zataran's box. I'm gonna put it on the grocery list for this week!
We went to a tailgate party (indoors) and there were some very happy Michigan fans there by the end of the game. All was good and no flag planting in their living room.
Good week to all!
+/- 164 which is in range for me.
Heavy food indulging this week but still manageable.
Football is focused on College now that both Jets & Giants are playing to lose instead playing to win and losing anyway.
Have a great week!

No turkey here. "Cajun/Coonass" food for Thanksgiving. Boiled shrimp, gumbo, dirty rice (google it), cole slaw and toast.
No surprise Ol' **** won. Texas held off the Aggies to go to SEC playoff next weekend, sorry Bob but Ohio State lost. Good game watched it while eating lunch a Chili's. BS with Michigan trying to plant their flag at the end of the game - uncalled for and classless. Cowboys pulled off a win from the Giants. Playing losing teams rest of season, they may break .500!

That's a lot of 'kraut!
Congrats to your Browns beating Pittsburg. Steelers not one of my favorite franchises. Goes back to 70's when they beat the Oilers out of the playoffs then hammered Dallas in Super Bowls.

Had our first snow Thursday evening as the Browns won against the steelers. It was a great feeling since they were so ****y.
Friday got together with my brother and sisters foe "siblings" day. Went across town to ou favorite Slovenian butcher shop and bought keilbasa, Then off to the West Side Market. It is a well known landmark in Cleveland, hit a few more places then a late lunch. We try and do this several times a year. Got started near the end of the pandemic while visiting our parents at their nursing home. After they passed we decided to carry it on in their memeory. Perfect timing as I just canned 41 lbs of home made sauerkraut. I wil keep for about a year fresh in the refrigerator. I have a small frij in the basement just for kraut (that it all didn't fit in this time) Trying to keep alive some old traditions and foods from our parents/grandparents.
Happy Thanksgiving and a good week to all!

Lots of really good football this week! Auburn needed four OT's to beat Texas A&M, Notre Dam beat Army, the neighbors to the North, Oklahoma handed Alabama their ass, Florida handed Ol' **** their ass so they will be wanting to take that out on State Friday at the Egg Bowl. With first year head coach, second string QB and overall crappy year State has had - glad we did not get tickets this year. Next year - ordering them after first of the year! Missed going. No job in the way either.
Don't overdo the Festivities, or the food, this week!!
