A little better with food. I was able to bookend the week with some quality bike rides, but could have done better through the week. I was able to ride my bike to work one day which substituted as a workout day. It was a little weird and uncomfortable riding a bike around all the scrap trucks and 18-wheelers that go in and out of the plant. I was also concerned about all the glass on the road causing flats.
I'm staring at a brutal August for traveling. Basically, I'll be traveling Sunday through Friday each of the next four weeks. Working out will be tough, and I'm not quite sure how I'm going to deal with food. More to come.
With unbelievable weather this weekend, It's great spending time outdoors. Have a great week everyone.

Last post, but that is from my Sunday Weigh in. I was down as low as 186 during the week, then had bad eating days on Friday and Saturday. Client dinner Friday night and a party at our house on Saturday. My doctor was very happy with my progress after 6 months. Suggested I increase my calorie count a bit - but definitely not as much as I allowed myself on Friday and Saturday. I've been good Sunday and Monday, will work on keeping it up.
Have a great week
Another crazy/insane week. I am still doing the diet where I'm stopping sugar at about 2pm and caffeine (dark chocolate, coffee, ice tea) by noon. Because of this diet...And I am eating less sugar, I am dropping the weight quickly. I also am drinking less coffee and eating less chocolate. I got on the scale yesterday I was about 197.5. I got on this morning I was 196. Was a very active day today...Weedeating, running errands for the handyman we had working for us. I got on the scale just now...I was 194.5!! What!!??!!! I don't eat much fried food...Some but not much. Then you cut out the sugar and are active it makes sense.
Again, I am mainly doing this for my sleep. My sleep has been very good the last few days. And I think dropping the sugar and caffeine has helped with the sleep...Which is very very important to me. One study said getting a good night sleep feels like winning the lottery. It is that important to me. But the strange benefit from this is also the weight loss. Go figure...

This week was booger! Almost wanted to start drinking again it was so bad! GF gone all week, two spoiled dogs to deal with, "Lone Ranger" at work most of the week and it has been HOT!
Positive note: Broke the 72:00 minute mark for five miles on treadmill on Friday. So yea me!
For NFL football fans the Universe comes back into harmony tomorrow with the start of training camp!

Bad week. Aunts funeral last Monday, Found father in law deceased Tuesday. All the arrangements and his funeral yesterday has me in a daze. I didn't track anything, hell I can't remember much of the week. Interment at National Cemetary this week for him. It's going to be tough.

Better with exercise last week, but could have done much better with eating. I was able to bookend the week with a couple of nice bike rides, along with a couple of mini workouts in during the week in the hotel. Rough week with all the eating out. No scheduled travel the next two weeks, so I'll be able to manage food much better. I need to do that, because I am staring at four straight weeks on the road (monday through Friday) in August.
Have a great week everyone

Back on track with exercise this week. The exercise helps me with food too - I feel like I eat better when I'm getting my exercise in. Showed a nice loss of 4+ lbs as a result. Haven't gotten in any hiking recently - been so hot in SoCal, and I haven't been willing to get myself up at 5am on the weekends to make it happen. Add in that it seems like there is a new wildfire burning in many of the spots I hike - might just wait it out until it cools down a bit.
Tomorrow, I have my 6 month post-op appt with my surgeon. I'm down about 35 lbs since my 3 month post-op, and almost 95 by today's scale reading. Would have been nice to be -100 for that visit, but I'm almost there, and will get there soon. I still have a couple weeks before it's actually 6 months on the calendar, so I may still get there.
Have a great week!

Lots of yard work yesterday, but that does not make up for a week of bad eating, empty calories and doing nothing after work except socializing with friends. I like the going out with friends, but the food and drink kills me.
This is why I come here, to learn from the vets. I see what you guys have and are going through and it keeps my spirits and motivation up.
Thanks,
-bob
