I have never been a sailor but I understand that in the Naval Service of many countries there is a long tradition of elaborate ritual celebrations/hazings when new sailors cross the International Date Line for the first time. These celebrations have been a tradition for hundreds of years and pay homage to King Neptune and his court.
I don't think that King Neptune watches over the 300/200's meridian but if he did we would be on a first name basis because I believe that this is my 14th time passing it in one direction or another. Only crossed the 100's/200meridian once, however.

I went to my final pre-surgery appointment on Tuesday, and learned... that there was another appointment. There is always another appointment. Anyways, I went to that on Saturday and unless I am missing something the next time I walk into a doctor's office will be for RNY on August 29th.
My wife took moving detail this semester so she is in Waco melting.
Have a great week guys. I will have an Atkins shake for you.

Thanks guys. The lowest I have been since at least 1981 is 217, so these numbers are unexplored territory for me.

Prayers for his family. You got to keep fighting your "demons"! Can't EVER let them win! NEVER!
300 at my highest. Last week 198...Sunday 196. It has been a good week. Pretty much eating right and getting some exercise/physical work in. See the heart doctor on Thursday. I think I have an issue with my lungs. I can exercise in the gym pretty hard and no chest pain. I go out into the smog and work and get chest pain. I've had two heart attacks so I have to be careful. Think I'll have to watch the physical work outside till the rains come and clean out the air here in California...Brian
Wow .. this is stunning and so tragic .. To lose all that weight only to then commit suicide .. He mentioned "confronting demons" in his last FB post, so I guess it was something other than his weight at issue ..

Rough week with lots of sitting in meetings, along with group lunches and dinners. It really caught up with me. This week will be rough as well, I'm going to Calgary on a business trip/mini vacation later this week. I see more bad food and ass time in a chair in my future.
I hear you on the fairs. I generally try to stay away from the local fairs, but in Minnesota, the state fair is one of the largest in the country. Its all about the food and what crazy idea they can come up with. I only go about every other year, and we're taking this year off thankfully.

$@#* Forum software!!! I had a comprehensive response typed out and the POS, hasn?t been updated in 20 years software deleted half of it as I tried to navigate around.
I started at 481 lbs. According to the people at my program, and their measurements, I would get to 350 lbs if I lost the average amount of weight. I hate being average. I set my own goal of 325 lbs. I blew through that, and set a stretch goal of 300 lbs. I blew through that one too, and at one year out from surgery, tipped the scales at 285 lbs. At that point I was done with goals.
Today I am just about two months shy of two years out from surgery. I am at 255 lbs. I have not suffered any regain yet. Numbers in this process help mark progress, but in the end they are an artificial construct. No one can predict how much a particular person will lose, or if they will keep it off. There are too many variables.
If you want to set goals as a way to focus, that?s great. But keep in mind you may be more or less than what your mind thinks you should be. If you follow your program faithfully, and get reasonable exercise to stay fit, your body will find a happy spot. It is up to your head to agree with that regardless of the actual number.
In the picture I am 265 lbs. my BMI is 33.6. That means I am obese. Right. Even my surgeon laughs at the BMI index. It is antiquated medical understanding, to the tune of almost 200 years out of date.

Week within tolerances work wise. Three days of school in hard plastic chairs was hard on the ass but one of the best schools I've been to in a while. Even managed to get some things done on the other two.
Wet weekend! 2.5" of rain since Friday! We were needing it bad. Grass crunched when you stepped on it.
This week another short one because of being off Thursday and Friday for a birthday run to the ATL next weekend. Planning to get on treadmill few more times before we go. Life got in the way of walking last week.
Have a Great Week, Gents!!
Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
Same thing. Never got pinned down. Actuaries says I have to be 174 to be 'normal' weight. I'd love to get there, but I seem pretty much 195ish. I bounced up a little over the Winter and came back down. I'm 20 months out.
Talking to many people here, the last 20 pounds take the longest to achieve.
