Sunday Weigh In
Last week: 206.6
This week: 206.8
Guess their powdered sugar storage blew up! 10" snow in NOLA. Two favorite videos from there were the priest and nuns playing in the snow and the guys getting their air boats out and playing on snow. Got tickled at some peckerwood who posted video of a Houston PD officer having an impromptu driver's training session on a snow-covered parking lot by doing donuts in the snow. His knickers were really bunched up about it!
Find out today who goes to Super Bowl in two weeks. No dog in the fight but again go with KC three peat band wagon.
Mr. Trump hard and fast out of the blocks.
Have a Great Week, Gentlemen!!
Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
Last Week 213.5
This Week 212.9
Finally out of the deep freeze here. Forcast says 33-34 this week.
You guys down south got hit pretty bad. Even Cincinnati was in gridlock from getting way more snow than usual. Here in Nothern Ohio, we haven't had the cold and snow like this in 5 or 6 years, so there is more *****ing about it. But it is what I grew up with, it just sucks more now that I'm not a kid making money by shoveling driveways in the neighborhood.
Good week to all!
+2 lbs this week.
It's been the coldest January I've ever seen in NYC area. Luckily this week seems like things will warm up.
@Don62 - I think the cop doing the impromptu snow training is a great idea. I also teach people snow and ice by doing donuts on open parking lots. It really showcases impact of snow and ice. It's funny that a foot of snow has a minimal impact in New England but shuts down the South. Most people don't realize driving following basic rules of physics on ice and snow.
My Draft Kings picks both lost today in NFL. I'm really tired of seeing KC win so I'll be hoping for an Eagles victory in SB.
Have a great week!
The North has been dealing with snow and ice since the Pilgrims got off the Mayflower! Your roads are made to hold up to it better. Put snow tires on your vehicles to drive on it and before it all starts the oil tanks are full for heating and cords of wood put in. Down here the roads aren't built for it. It starts down at the base. If the base is not thick enough or laid down well they expand and contract causing cracks tha****er gets into, freezes and starts potholes. Can tell where base is thin at stop signs because of weighted vehicles, buses, garbage trucks cause ripples like a washboard.
Needless to say watching the video of the Tahoe in the parking lot the only thought in my mind was "don't hit the concrete base holding up the light post". I did it too! Never in a Tahoe but many times in Crown Victorias and the truck I had all those years. Truck was worse on snow and ice than the cars. Too light in the rear. It should be noted that I got stuck several times over the years but more often than not mud was the culprit not snow and ice!
