God Bless our Veterans.

215.1 Last Week
212.4 Today

Got in a great workout in the yard yesterday. Today it looks like a lot of cooler and rainy weather, but tomorrow nice and dry. Ribs and steak set for tomorrow.

Good week to all

Happy Memorial Day Weekend Guys and thanks to anyone who has served in any capacity to help support and protect their community and country. I have never served in the Armed Services but I have volunteered to help returning vets get good jobs when they come home.

My workouts have been great which helps overcome a lot of sins on the eating side. With all the barbeques going on during the Summer, I ever a lot of sinning - All good though :).

Have a great week!

Jim

Going with my weight from Thursday as I am on the road without a scale handy. Eating on the road is a challenge as always but hopefully I won't lose too much ground.

This week: 186.6

Many "thank you's" go to the families of the service men and women who did not come home alive or did not come home at all. Kudos to the young men and women who despite continuing armed conflicts in the world STILL stick their right hand in the air and say "So help me Good" voluntarily putting themselves in harm's way.

Knee feeling better. Managed to get time down to normal 65:00 for five miles Thursday afternoon. Banged out yard yesterday and traipsed all over Tyler today shopping. Have to go to work tomorrow to rest!

Y'all go do your thing!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

We got in really late last night, so I will weigh in tomorrow, but wanted to post because I completed Murph on Sunday. It took me about 80 minutes, which is not fast.

I just read about this for the first time yesterday. How do normal people do 100 pull-ups. Even guys at the gym in great shape would max out at 15 to 20?

Jim - I broke it up into 20 rounds of 5 pull-ups, 10 push-ups and 15 squats. Even with that, the reason my time is 80 and not 55, was waiting to get strength back for the pull-ups.

Ok that makes sense, and still dam tough. Now I guess I can give it a try. I was thinking I didn't have a prayer in hell before.

That's what they mean by "partition as needed". A fitter person than me would have done 10/20/30 or 20/40/60 just to minimize their change over time, but however you do it you won't feel cheated. No body armor for me either - it was hard enough as is.
