Pro Bowl Sunday Weigh - In
Last week: 183.6
This week: 184.4
Mixed week: Eats and exercise pretty much on track. Did have to cut one treadmilling session back to four miles. Wasn't into it and damn phones would not leave me alone!
Company truck, 2013 Silverado with 80K miles, had to have a new radiator. Was not loosing fluid or boiling over but was getting "hot" on temperature gauge and electronics would shut truck down to idle only. Had to drive a back up Crown Vic and felt like I was sitting in a hole! No praise for Tahoe either other than at least I was not sitting in a hole.
The shutdown is over for next three weeks. Round two coming up.
Local personal note: Pray for the Athens, TX school district. If you did not see the story on network newscast they had a train/bus accident resulting in a fatality. 13 year old boy. All the local school districts are going maroon for them tomorrow.
Have a Great Week, Gentlemen!!
Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Prayers out to the families in Athens.
Yes! Furlough gone for now. Back to work Monday. Maybe the next three weeks they will
play nice in the sandbox, but I doubt it. Even though I got a lot of stuff done around
home, I still put on a few pounds. It will be nice not having access to the mindless
eating for at least 9 or so hours a day.
Met a couple who have had WLS (sleeve) through mutual friends. Nice going out with people who can relate.
Good week to all
I'm glad to hear everybody is back to work. I am hopefully going to Houston this week and will miss the coldest of the cold. Unfortunately, we are getting 5 to 8 inches of snow tomorrow, so the flying could be tough. The high on Wednesday is supposed to be 15 below. The wind chill is supposed to be like 35 below.
Not much weight lost this week, but I lost a half inch off my chest. I really would like to get to a smaller size than what I am at now before I stop losing.

Still learning the limits of my new body. Had a couple of misadventures involving in one case a slice of pizza and in another case a bowl of high fiber cereal. Overall, it's easy peasy compared to a couple weeks ago when I was just starting solid foods.
If I was a good person I'd probably be going to the gym but right now I'm just working and doing the normal self and home care stuff. Hours aren't as bad as they were preop, I'm only doing about 55 a week right now (down from 60+) but I'm still pretty spent in my down time.
Learning to eat post op is A LOT of trial and error. New foods that don't agree with you today set them aside and give it a few weeks and try it again. My nemesis was grilled chicken. Only two times I had projectile vomiting post-op was on dry grilled chicken. Okay with it now but I hit one tough spot eating a piece - I'm done! Not going to chance it.
