Mayday weigh in!

And it was a mayday situation. Yardwork had the added element of some weight training after I ran over an old dog line I thought I had removed from some weeds. I missed it in my survey of the yard, but I did not miss it with the mower. So there was a brief interlude while I removed the dec****angled the spindles, and put it all back together. Besides that, there was lots of chopping of trees which will be turned into mulch this week coming up.

Holding my own beats going up.
I can empathize. Old barbed wire, cable and even strings from hay bales are Hell on tractor mowers. (7&15 foot) Would use either bolt cutters or cutting torch on first two and utility knife on strings. PITA to remove it regardless of what it was.
Will do mine today since gave it a day to dry out from rain on Friday.
Go forth and have a Great Week!
Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Been at this elevated weight for a while. Want to get down to 220. Any suggestions as to how to kickstart weight loss mode?
Yardwork for me it's pretty easy! My wife is a hippie chick and loves outdoors ****! I Pitchin wants a while but usually don't have to LOL
Have a happy healthy week!

Was all set to check in yesterday and never hit the post key.
Busy day cleaning out my parents house. Looks like a great week for yardwork. Only about .75 acres, but I enjoy (now that I've lost the weight) working outside.
Good week to all.
Start of 6 month pre-op diet (2/14): 320 lbs.
4/30: 293 lbs
5/7: 290 lbs.
Food: C After my stressful week where I ate a lot of comfort foods, getting back to high protein and low carb diet was difficult, but with less stress I was able to focus on what I ate more this week. I was often hungry but for the most part I avoided the temptations. I kept within my calorie limits most days.

Exercise: A Got back to the gym 4 days last week and hit my step goal 6 out of 7 days.
Hi guys...Been awhile. I got up to about 206-207 over the past month or so. A few months ago I was down to 195. My back has been giving me problems the last few weeks. I've had a bad back for 35 years...They wanted to operate back then, but I've held off. I'm hoping to die from a heart attack and not have to deal with the surgery. But I saw the doctor...Will jump through the hoops (X ray, PT, MRI) before I can get the referral to the neurosurgeon. So I do what I can do. I've gone back to the exercises my physical therapist gave me years ago. I've also worked on my weight. I got on the scale today (Thursday) and am down to 203. I'll take it. High of about 300. The weight loss and exercise should help my back...It did before.
There is always this judgment call on food now...Tortilla chips or pain in the back...Sugar or pain in the back!! It is making me rethink my actions. I can do what I can do to relieve the pain. Plus with the RNY I shouldn't be taking NSIDS. So I am limited in what to take and how problems can build up with the medications. I'm not getting great exercise, but walking and riding the bike a little...Just want to avoid the pounding that hurts the back. Why does it take a crisis for us to wake up on what we need to do...(diabetes, heart, back)?? So back to eating pretty right and doing my exercises.
I'm 62 1/2...Enjoy doing the yard work, pruning, projects. But with the back and my age it is time to hand some of the stuff off to younger people. I hate to do it...And I will do what I can work wise. But I need to be wise at not taking the pounding of the back and having people come along side and be my backups and be there for the things I can't do... Brian
