Wow, go away for a week and I come back to 103 posts and nearly 2000 views about dropping the tea bags into the pool.

Terrible week, and the weigh in shows it. I'm heading to Florida tomorrow on a business trip and staying on vacation. I'll need to really watch myself. Spending the day today getting ready, which will keep me from having too much football withdrawal.

I won't be around next week to start this thread, so hopefully someone else can get the party started next sunday.

Last week - 180.8
This week - 182.4

Uh oh!  Know where to put the blame.  Did not want to do it but 80 degree weather and winter weeds getting out of hand meant lawn mowers got cranked up yesterday.  Normally try to hold off till March before I start doing yard work but wasn't going to make it that far this year.  On the bright side I only have three more payments on my zero turn and it is ALL MINE!

Noticed the thread that was moved over here I think from the VSG board.  Not a problem I ever had post op.  Never sat on the "boys" put that porcelain is cold!  Be nice if some of the guys that posted there will start posting on here too.  Our numbers is getting thin.

Go forth, kick ass and take names but don't get posted on You-tube in the process this week!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Hope your surgery turns out well!!

I really understand the issue with Food. I do great during the day, and my diet goes to crap at night. I always listen to the wrong person in my head.

Last Week: 260

This Week: 260

I had a rough week. I was actually up 3 pounds earlier in the week, but a trip to the south Florida Renaissance Festival straightened me out as there was a lot of walking that day.

Still struggling with the night eating, but I posted in General about it during the week and I got lots of good advice and encouragement. So I have to disagree with the "nobody cares" meme posted to start the thread. People do care, and they show it. Doesn't mean it is not on me to get er done, but people do care. That was nice to know.

I saw my GI doctor and they need to do a procedure to look at my pancreas through my stomach. Not sure what that is all about. But they want to do that before they take out my gall bladder, so I will have this issue for at least another month. I know I need it out because after all that walking I had a gall bladder attack and I hated life for a while. For some reason the GI doc thought that was unusual, that exerting myself give me an attack, and I don't know what else I can do to prove it to them, but I know its the gall stones. Anyway, hopefully this week I can break that 260 mark. It is very psychological now. I need to break through.

Yeah, what happened to the Men's Forum??  I didn't click on this link for about a week and look what took place.  Last time I got on the scale...I hate my scale, I was at 215...Over 10 years post op.

Just a reminder to the women who come to this forum...It is a mens forum.  Most of the men don't mind you viewing.  Many times we don't mind wifes/girlfriends asking questions about their mate and his issues.

But this part of OH is for men to feel comfortable with other men to talk about real issues in their lives.  Yeah, you will get some trolls out there...But we really try and support and respect other men's inputs and insights.

And yes, this forum on OH is pretty boring.  We had big blow ups about 6-8 years ago.  Don 1962, you might remember those...A lot of men left out of frustration with OH's policies and women feeling they need to add to the conversation...It was their right!!  Well you may feel it is "your right"...But it may not be helpful and respectful for men and the man issues they face.  It would be like a guy going onto a woman's forum and asking obnoxious questions.  Is it allowed...OH will put up with some of it.  Is it rude...YES!!  We desire and want our space.  Even if some guy is a jerk on here...Women, please keep out of it.  We (and OH) can police out site just fine.

One last thing...Every once in awhile a woman will come to this site just to bait the guys...Guys you can play if you want to.  Usually it's a pretty immature women who feels their right to be heard outweighs the right for men to enjoy support and fellowship.  So If you are a new guy to this site, please don't let the below posts drag you down.  We really are here for support and to lift up each other.  Even asking personal men's questions.  So new guys...Stick around. it will get better...These things come up every few years.  Brian

Brian,

I do remember all the hoopla over the ladies encroaching.  They did not show respect to our testosterone filled world.  The ladies that recognized and respected the "house rules" of this space only posted for one of the men who might have been having some type of health issue or surgery.  I can recall we had some hellacious gate keepers who made many references to "tuna town"!

The women who posted about dating and what we thought on like things needed to be run off.  Not what we are here for!  The women who posted about what their men should do surgery wise were often given the admonishment to tell the man to grow a set, create a profile and come ask himself.

I still come in here after eight years, closing in on nine actually, for the accountability, and try to offer legitimate advice and encouragement where and when I can.  Slapped a few hands over the years too.  Take it or leave it.  Yes, our numbers are thinner than way back in the day but some of us still keep chugging along.
