My weight is going in the right direction. I broke 200 for a day last week, so I was pretty happy about that. I did very well with exercise including both resistance training and cardio. Being sore as hell today, I think its a good idea to focus on household chores and get an "Active Recovery" day in.
For decades, Superbowl sunday has been all about the crappiest food I could eat. Today will be a bit better, but I'm still planning on having some pizza. I have an idea for boneless skinless buffalo chicken tenders that are baked. I'm gonna try making them for some moderate fat protein.
PSA for any surgery newbies, especially if you've had RnY. If you decide to drink today, remember your tolerance for alcohol is far less than it used to be. Weight gain or loss aside, please be careful out there.
Last week - 180.6
This week - 180.8
Where or where has 179.8 gone, or where oh where can it be....
While the Cowboys did not make it to the SB they scored in the Rookie of the Year category with Dak and looks like Mr. Jones, like him or not, is going into the Hall of Fame as an owner. Rooting for Atlanta by default but will be boycotting halftime show.
Have a Great Week!

Difficult week to stay focused. I had a conference for most of the week and was out of my normal routine. Free food at the conference was challenging. I did overeat one day and immediately regretted it.
I had been waiting for that to end (as I was teaching some classes there) in order to finally get this gall bladder taken care of. Now I can call my GI doctor and set up an appointment. I am confident that once this is out I will be able to start exercising and hopefully that will help with the weight loss.
I can see that I have definitely loss some muscle mass, along with the fat. I want to make sure that I do not lose too much muscle. Also, I have noticed some seriously saggy skin in my inner thighs. It is a downer, no doubt, but it is not surprising, so I am deal with it. I did not expect my skin to bounce back at 51 years of age and I accepted that before I began this journey. That stuff is just cosmetic anyway and I rather live and be wrinkly than the alternative.
The Super Bowl was an incredible game though. I was rooting against the Pats, of course, as most of the country was, but you just can't deny that Brady is the greatest of all time now. This was the first time I ever watched the game without snacking on chips and dips and wings. I missed it a little, but not as much as I thought I would.
