Still going the wrong way..... This is tough. I know exactly why my weight is going up, yet no matter what I've done it's not been effective. This is most definitely not physical. Its entirely mental. I'll figure it out. Basically, I need to figure out how to be tougher mentally.
This forum is a great non-political place to come to where we all have a common issue to discuss. I admit, I've been a bit of a news junky over the past year, and especially the last few months culminating in the inauguration. I love it that the NFL will steal the airwaves this afternoon for a welcome break in the news cycle. I'm betting on a Green Bay vs New England Superbowl, but we'll see how it plays out.
Have a great week!
Last Week: 267
This Week: 262
After 3 weeks stuck at 267, I bad cold last weekend finally pushed me over the edge of that plateau. I was sick for 4 days and I guess that illness really kick-started my weight loss again. Not the way I would recommend for anyone to get past a plateau, but at this point, I will take it anyway I can get it.
I have replaced breakfast most days with a protein shake, and that seems to have helped. I did have spaghetti and meatballs on Friday night date-night, but that one meal lasted me for 3 meals, so it was fine. Earlier in the week I did feel like I was going to pass out at work and when I checked by blood pressure it was 88/57. I went to the doctor that afternoon and he cut my blood pressure medication in half. I have been much better since.
I realized my biggest challenge is watching TV. It is almost as if I feel the NEED to eat something while I watch TV. I know it is totally mental, and I know it is something I need to battle. I made a new rule: If I am watching TV at night, the only thing I am allowed to eat on the couch will be a protein shake. Hopefully I can stick with that rule. Snacking at night kills my weight loss, which doesn't seem fair since my food intake is still so much less than it used to be. I realize in an entire day, I eat less than I used to eat at one meal prior to my surgery. I guess the body gets used to the new calorie level though.
January 12 was my 3 month anniversary from my surgery. I posted a very long honest message on facebook about it detailing the good, the bad, and the ugly and it was very well received. I have lots of people rooting for me and that really helps.
Last week - 180.8
This week - 180.4
Guess for a few weeks I can be a Falcon's fan. Would be blasphemous for me to ever root for the Steelers so my picks are Atlanta and New England to go to the SB.
So close to going under 180 again. That's the way the yo-yo goes up and down.
Like him or not the inauguration is over and "the Donald" is now the POTUS. Quit protesting and worry about your own **** till the next election cycle! Give Peace a chance!
Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
