A little better on exercise, but can still do better on food. No travel for two weeks, so I'm looking for A's across the board for a while. I'm babysitting this morning and my grandson isn't happy with me typing so I'll hang it up. I'll just end with "Go Blue".

8 pounds could be an anomaly or maybe just some excess fluid -- or excess salt. I've had both get me. The first time was about 5 pounds in one day... well I had salty salty salty foods and think I just retained everything I drank. One day of running and sweating and fluids and I was right back where I was. Push some extra fluids for a few days and see if that flushes things out.

Last week - 180.0
This week - 179.0

Minor improvement gladly taken.

Mississippi State won yesterday breaking three game losing streak.  Next week they face the Aggies of Texas A&M.  My father raised me right not an Aggies fan.  Favorite team as kid was Texas Tech, his alma mater, who won in OT against TCU yesterday.  Speaking of "nut cutters" Texas slipped past Baylor as well.  Tonight it is the Cowboys and Eagles from Jerry World.  Prescott/Romo debate intensifying as Romo is starting to practice again.

Did have NSV of sorts yesterday.  Have a 30 year old Massy Ferguson open cab two wheel drive tractor we keep the front end loader mounted to that we keep around in case we need one.  Pasture leasee is responsible for mowing etc so we don't use it that much any more and the man that does some work for Mom uses it some and has a tendency to not service it like it needs to be done.  Hence no greasing, low on fluids, tires underinflated etc.  Stay with me here.  The power company is rebuilding several of the power lines near the house and they have their excess dirt piled up in a couple of places.  I had some armadillo holes that needed filling in and one gate that needed some dirt to fill in the hole the critters have made going through it when it is muddy wallowing it out.  Any way got tractor and scooped dirt to do what I needed to do regarding holes.  While I had it gave tractor the once over it has needed for some time.  Why was this an NSV?  I had not had to man handle diesel by the five gallon can in a long time since for the longest we used an overhead tank when we needed the diesel more often and was buying in bulk.  The other part being the contorting I had to do to grease the damn thing.  Don't recall greasing this tractor too often post op either but it was easier to do other than it being super "dry" where not been maintained over the years and sitting out in the weather all the time.  It looks like hell with faded paint etc but still does what we need it to do and it is paid for!  Sorry for ramble.

Have a Great Week!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

A pound drop is like 3 pounds not gained. :) j/k!

As a northerner (Chicago, city, no grass/all pavement) I have to ask a very ridiculous question... armadillo hole? Like they burrow? Sorry, but I've only ever seen a dead armadillo once on the side of the road in Oklahoma as we drove through when I was a kid.

I realize that's not the point of your NSV (congrats, btw!)... but I can't help myself from asking.

It's all good Nate.  Only things I know about Chicago come from "Blues Brothers", "French Connection", Da Bears (loved The Fridge back in his day and Dick Butkus before him) and now your (group possessive) Cubs in the WS.

Armadillos will burrow in the ground to make their homes.  They stay awhile in one and will move on to a new dig.  When they are feeding they use their front claws to root around in the grass and flower beds looking for grubs and other insects.  If that is all the digging they do it makes your yard have a bunch of davits like a hacker on a golf course!  Burrow holes can be deep enough to cause livestock, horses in particular, to break a leg if they step into one at a full gallop.  The holes I was filling in were old digs that had been done beside my shop building, the concrete front porch and a tree out in the yard.  Will make it easier to mow and covered up the water lines of my sprinkler system!

Thanks for that. Chicago is great, but we don't have armadillos of course. So I was way curious. :)

Hey guys. I've been gone for a bit and I'm sorry for falling off the boards. All's good, I'm just busy being outside. I need to get back on track a little bit. My dad died about a week and half ago and the emotions of that caused me to turn to old habits. I didn't think I was being *too* bad, but boom. The scale is not my friend right now. So, back to work I go. I'm chalking it up to a fact of life and dealing with a death. I won't punish myself or be too mad at myself. But, back to work.

Did not see this till after I had typed out reply to your question.

Sorry about your Dad's passing.  Hoed that row almost 23 years ago.   It will either make you better or make you bitter.  That choice is yours.  You have to let yourself hurt before you can heal.  No shame in your game if you seek counseling to deal with his passing.
