This madness needs to end. Since Mid-July, we have not had a single day without a houseguest of some sort. Kids, grandkids, inlaws, more kids etc. Its been great seeing everyone, but my pantry has been full of **** food, my fridge is the same way. Maybe I should be more of a food zealot, but I've allowed this crap in my house. At the same time, nobody is shoving food down my piehole for me. Its all on me. This finally ends Thursday, and I can get back into my food/workout routine.

My NSV for the week was spending three days in Texas at 105-108 degrees and not turning into a puddle of goo.

The world is back on its axis now that the NFL is back. With all the activity, I missed the Lions first pre-season game, but I know the season is right around the corner and all will be right in the world again. Also, with all the activity, my Olympics watching has suffered as well. The American Team is pretty impressive this year from what I've seen.

Take care everyone!!

Last week:  177.0
This week:  177.8

You'll be happy to know the prognostication for Texas, or at least the Metroplex, does not have any triple digit highs forecast for this week!  May help me having to work evenings this week.  Won't be so hot going in and cooler after sunset.  Have to get on treadmill before work as opposed to after.  Try and get some walking in today.

While the Cowboys did lose last night it was on the defenses poor performance.  Kudos to Dak Prescott in his NFL debut!  Young man did very well.

Y'all go do your thing!

Last week 230

This week 227

Hey All,

Hope all is well with everyone. No major long bike rides this week just one 40 miler and a few 25 milers I stayed on plan hit my water goals and just kept on doing what's been working for me. I Know I've lost more inches. I can now touch my thumb and index finger when I wrap them around my left wrist. I've been able to do this with my right wrist for awhile now, but not my left. My pants are looser almost time to drop down to 34s and size large shirts. About a month ago I got onboard with compression shirts. I had worn the bottoms but never the tops. I wish I would have got some sooner these really do help with exercise and just generally tucking things in, as is evident if you search posts on compression shirts. I just chose to ignore the information till now. I'm going to assume here that a lot of folks pre-weight-loss surgery avoided any tight clothing like the plague at least I did, now I wear one of these under my other shirts whenever I'm out of the house.  Oh, one last thing a recent post about jerky on the boards got me craving the stuff. I had some teeth issues until recently, so I have stayed away from it. I had heard of jerky made from ground beef or other meats that were a lot softer than traditional jerky, so I figured I would give it a try. I went out bought a dehydrator and commenced attempt number one. I made one error I bought into the all the scare stuff about cooking the crap out of your product which resulted in extremely hard to chew jerky brittle, not what I was I was going for all so straight into the trash that went. I consulted with our resident hunter jerky cheese guru dude at work. He gave me some tips. He said to use the 80/20 ground beef go 4.5 to 5.5 hrs, and you should be good. He was right  I did the taste tested right out of the machine after cooking for the prescribed amount of time. I then waited for 12 hrs, no food poisoning yay me. That's all I got this week.
