Happy 4th of July!

Last week 175.8

Today       178.4

Unfortunately I have gained 2.6 lbs this week.  I weighed 179.4 yesterday. It is easy to check in on a Sunday when I have lost weight, but I am not to excited about checking in here when I have gained weight. I am trying to start recording my food again with My Fitness Pal.  I think my eating went out of control during the week and especially on Saturday.  I know most of you guys can walk faster then I can jog. On Saturday I jogged 15.3 miles at 14 minutes per miles. Yes embarassed to admit it took me about 3 1/2 hours to jog 15 miles. Well the wheels went off the train or whatever the saying is. On Saturday I ate everything that was not nailed down including 2 pieces of Fudge. Unfortunately on Saturday I learned that I do not get dumping syndrome.  I was kind of wishing that I would so it would make it impossible for me to eat sugar.  Also while slowly slowly jogging I consumed 4 GU's and 1 protein bar. On  Sunday I did better with my food, but today I have not done that well.  I am eating healthy food but too much and to large of quantities. My wife told me that she is concerned I am going to stretch my pouch. I think I am starting to sound like a broken record here - every week it is "I am eating too much food" , "My eating is out of control". I am 9 mos post op and seem to struggle with constant hunger? Just want to check is anyone else constantly hungry? One night I even woke up at 3:00 am and  yes still hungry and found myself in front of the pantry looking for food.  My goal this week is to write down all of my food and try to get my hunger under control . Also I will continue exercising, I am trying to run about 40 miles per week while training for a half marathon in Oct and possible a marathon in November. My hats off to you guys riding bikes, I took a 5 mile bike ride and my pace was only 8 minutes per mile and I have read the average pace is  15. I think bike riding is much harder then jogging.  I continue to take vitamins. I would like to go to a support group meeting but my surgeon is 3 hours away round trip and they only meet on Monday nights at 5:30. I continue to take my vitamins. I hope next Sunday to be able to report that I am back down to 175.8 - Have a good week. - Thanks for everyone who posts here!

Ohioguy,

I use this site as a support group. I will pm you my number if you need someone to talk to anytime about anything you can call or text. Keep checking in and talking about the **** your going through as it helps me and others. It will alsonly help you. Training for a long run is wild and unfamiliar to me. I'm thinking about trying a 100 Mile bike ride next. My surgeon has a number they give me for access to a nutrition and nurse's as well. Maybe your might have something like that so when you feel like **** is getting out of wack call. You have done an awesome job so far keep fighting.

I'm a little late cuz of the holiday.  Got back late last night from 4 days of celebrating. Too much drinking and eating.  I'm pleasantly surprised that I'm only up a bit.  The saving grace is that the Fourth tends to be a "meat" holiday....lots of burgers, steak, and chicken.

Hope you guys had a great holiday.  Keep at it!!

Heck of a week.  Did the pouch reset diet, well until Saturday anyway.  Had a great wee****il the big family get together.  I had a plan for that and was going to be good just eating meat, Until I saw IT.  My mother in law made a freaking cream cheese pie.  Lost my mind on it.

Started out the week at 232.  Ended up at 222.  Even after eating half a pie on Saturday.  That's got me back to my lowest since surgery back in April.  Going to stay on a very strict diet for another week to see if I can keep the loss going this time.

Y'all hang in there!
