I'm a little surprised about my weight today. Even though I was able to get some good workouts, and some activity last week, I felt like my eating was a little out of control. In fact, as I look back on the last 6 - 8 months, I think I am regressing a little bit with eating. I'm for sure getting my protein, and I am for sure eating less than I used to, but I realized some old habits are creeping back into my lifestyle.
I realized this week that my perception of myself is changing again. I used to be morbidly obese, thinking of myself as a fit person. The result was I could eat as much as I wanted and do as little as I wanted because I was "Healthy". After I lost a bunch of weight, it took a while before I REALLY saw myself as healthy and fit. These days, I can justify in my mind extra calories because I have been maintaining my weight for about a year and a half. Its that justification that scares me a little bit. I believe that self justification is a root cause for my slowly gaining weight back. I started working on changing my thought process again to back where it was when I was in the thick of my weight loss. At the same time changing my eating habits back to that process again. Its not easy.
NSV of the week was doing teambuilding exercises on the beach in 90 degree heat and sun without turning into a puddle of goo. In fact, being able to participate at all is an victory.

Good stuff John way to keep it real. Thank you for being a guide to us here. You show me that you keep your ass in check when you look at your food intake. It was tough to get to a weight I felt good . I have kinda settled at the 239 area for some time. I still need to make sure I eat enough through the day as I know I will drop lower if I don't log.

Water and vitamins have been better this week. I need to get my blood work in the next few weeks to check my numbers.

I can relate to the photo as above thanks for posting QAjohn. I like feeling skinny in the morning but I do eat all night.
I posted in the RNY forum earlier in the week that I am getting discouraged at month 7 because my appetite has returned full force. The more I exercise the more I eat :(
My weight really fluctuates I went from 186 to 182.4 this week but on Thorsday I weighed 179.1.
i return tomorrow for blood work to the dr. I am anxious to see the lab results.
I just signed up for my first half marathon in mid October to celebrate my one year surgiversary!
Now I just have to figure out how to jog 13.1 miles. I need to get control of my food and eating this week.

Quite an increase in scale. I'm realizing what a change in exercise from training for a marathon and not has done with not adjusting food intake...back to journaling for some insight!

Weight gain on the scale but Im ok with it cuz I assume it has something to do with the fact I ran my first 5k in forever yesterday and my muscles feel incredibly tight today (I have no idea if that actually causes an uptick in weight but I dont care). I'm psyched with the race. Finished in 29:30....walked for about 20 yards at the 2.5 mile mark but, other than that, jogged the whole time. Never really felt terrible. Very happy.
