Heya Guys.

I have been stalled out for about 9 months now. I've been following the post bariatric diet for the whole time, but haven't lost more than a Kg, despite upping my exercise significantly. I know that we stall out, but I'm probably at least 20kilos away from where I need to be.

Alternatively my Endocrinologist has said that my numbers for everything (liver function, thyroid, etc) are heading in the right direction so I guess that's a good thing.

Any ideas guys?

Well first of all you need to convert from Kg to pounds here, aahh...Just kidding. No, the only reason you are not continuing to lose weight is the amount of calories and simple carbs you are eating.  People have to lose weight if they are exercising and dropping to a calorie level that can't support the same weight.  So, a simple look at your diet will tell you where the problem is.  We do want to be a support for each other here...But that is your issue.  Go back to basic protein, complex carbs (vegetable and whole fruit) and see what happens...Brian

Also muscle weighs more than fat.  If you are gaining muscle, that could be the problem...Good problem to have.  You may want to check your measurements.  If your waist is decreasing you may be good to go.  Brian

My stall has not been nearly that long, but I haven't really lost any weight to speak of since March 20.  Doing all the same rituals, water, walking, vitamins, yada yada yada....

I know that this happens and am hanging in there, it just gets a bit frustrating to hover around the same 3 lbs for weeks and weeks.  I am only 20 lbs from my goal weight.

The good news is I feel great, and look great (if I say so myself, lol).  My long term aspiration was to be at my goal weight at one year post-surgery.  I still have six weeks . . .
