What a spectacular weekend this has been. Dry air and temps in the 80's which is pretty nice for Minnesota in April. I'm finally getting the bike out. Diet wa**** and miss over the last two weeks. Visiting my parents is always a challenge with the food they have available. With the exception of the last few days, exercise has been a challenge as well.

I got my second year bloodwork back last week, and I am hitting my aims across the board on vitamins, BP, Glucose and A1c. Was told to increase B12 (even though my numbers are going up) and vitamin D.

I haven't been checking the mens forum ten past few days, and I see a lot of activity. Instead of responding to each thread:

@TerryPcola - Welcome to our group. I hope you find some good information here and check back often

@Don1962 - You continue to be an inspiration for me and others. Thank you for sharing, and congratulations on 8 great years!!

@IWANT2BEHEALTHY - Nice blog, and great job. Congratulations!!

@Johann1971 - 7%BF is an incredible goal. Great job on your surgiversary, and lookin good.

Its great to see all the activity on the board this week.

Have a great week everyone.

Interestin that my weight has been fluctuating day to day more than ever. It seems like I. Ove a pound in either direction every morning.  I've increased calories but am eating well.  I think my body is figuring out where I'll land.

Hey Guys! - Thanks to everyone who posts here! You guys keep me motivated to exercise and eat right!  Hope you all had a good week. I have been exercising more on a treadmill and went on my first trail hike ever 4.4 miles in the hills and it took about 3 hours. I noticed when I exercise unfortunately that increases my appetite. Also on Sunday I walked 7.5 miles in a park.  My food is doing okay except on Saturday after hiking I ate a larger of quantity of food then I normally eat. I want to keep the weight off for the long haul and do not want to let this become a short term fix. I think I read somewhere on Obesity Help to try to establish some long term goals.  So a short term goal that I have is to section hike the Appalachian Trail. Then on my bucket list I want to thru hike the Appalachian Trail. It is just a goal to keep in the back of my mind to keep me walking and moving.  I continue with protein supplements Isopure and pure protein bars and then a 3 oz (normal dinner) sometimes I do eat almonds or peanuts in the evening for a snack.  Keep up the good work and have a good week!

You are not the only one with that major goal!!  About 5-7 years ago we had a guy on this forum who walked the whole Appalachian Trail.  SEIZE THE DAY...One step at a time...
