Off topic...But that's why I like the Men's Forum here.  You throw out basic questions and get some input (maybe not good?)...But usually pretty right on.  So I have a rental house.  The tenants want to install motion sensor lights.  I think it will be OK with me...Because they are the ones paying the electric bill.  She will use a license contractor.  Just wondering if you can adjust them?  Will a big wind cause them to go on...A cat? A rat or mouse??  Thoughts on what to look for.  Thanks...Brian

I general, they are a great idea.

Different models cover different area. 180 degrees, 270 degrees, etc. You can point the sensor to cover further away, or just close up. And there is a sensitivity adjustment so it takes more or less movement to set it off. So it takes a little experimenting to set it the way you want.

Cheap models seem to stop working after a year. Probably the delicate electronics. Like everything, you get what you pay for.
