Hello group,

Just want to introduce myself.  My name is Jerry.  I live in Mesa, AZ.  I am 5'9'' and 460 lbs.  At one time (not too long ago) I weighed over 500.  My first consultation appointment is tomorrow.  If anyone has had WLS with Dr. Chen at Banner Gateway, I would appreciate any comments or information.  I'm not new to the whole WLS process.  This will be the 3rd attempt.  The first attempted failed because I couldn't afford the $500/month insurance cost.  And the 2nd attempt was a wash because the entire practice closed.  I know that surgery alone is not going to get me to the weight I want to be.  I know I need to utilize the gym membership I pay for. I know I need help and support.  And that is why I am here.

it wont be the exercise issue as much as the calorie intake issue.  Get that settled and you'll definitely succeed.
