180.0: Goal

The scale moved in the right direction this week. I was able to reduce my calories a little bit, increase water a lot and got a little more cardio in. Rinse and repeat for this coming week.

I'm still trying to figure out what my maintenance calories should be. I've researched a bunch of different sites, but based on what I see with my weight (gains and losses) I think MFP is probably the best estimate for me. I'm most comfortable at between 193 and 195, so I need a couple more weeks of calories deficit to get there.

With football season basically over, I'm cleaning up my DVR from all the crap I missed earlier in the season. Too much binge watching is going to empty the DVR soon. I'm thinking of cutting the chord and going to streaming services. Too scared to change though...

Its great seeing all the new folks on here. Don't be afraid to jump in and talk about your progress here. I find that the accountability of weighing in and talking about it helps me stay focused.

Have a great week everyone!!

Its an unfortunate side effect, but we do lose muscle mass as well as fat when we are losing. Lifting will not only help protect your strength, but also has the side effect of helping bone density. My personal belief is that lifting and cardio should both be part of a healthy exercise plan.

Have been fluctuating around the same weight for almost 3 weeks now!  Up and down the scale.  Well at least it is a down week.  I am aware that those last 30 or so lbs would be some of the toughest, but the battle is still to be won.

I need to avoid those Saturday restaurant meals and wine!

Not sure if its coincidence or not, but I stopped losing weight about the same time I added an occasional glass of wine to my diet.

Well another stable week. That's good as I'm trying to stay here. I feel I could easily drop another 10 as I have to  try to eat this much to maintain here.

Highest =427

Day of surgery =362

Last week=237

Today =237

Aparrently I am totally out of the loop with following them Eagles. They had picked a coach last week before I posted. Lol. It looks to me like they just added a puppet to do what they say. Back to mediocre football . They figure there is a waiting list for season tickets the sheep will buy them whatever they throw out there. Not me.

My water has been better,vitamins good. Food ,I'm still trying to maintain here but I'm eating more than I probably should. I frigging hate cold weather. I actually might consider a transfer south next year...stay tuned.

Keep kicking ass gents!! Like john says , great seeing everyone's progress.

Ht:6'5 Start weight 427, surgery weight=362 current weight 238 goal weight unsure?

Last week: 178.0

This week: 178.8

Still over the red line but will chalk some of it to muscle mass build up from yesterday.  Hauled the scrap lumber and paneling from the front porch to the burning pile and same for a trailer full of branches from the shrubs/trees in front of the house.  Rotator cuffs didn't appreciate me using a chainsaw yesterday at all.  They are "talking" to me.  Tylenol more for shoulders than knees today when I get on the treadmill.

Dittos to what John said about the new faces in the hood.  Always good to see new blood.

Hope those of you on the East Coast survive "Snowmagedden" 2016.

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

This week flew by at light speed. I returned to work and got back into the swing of "normal" life again. I have a new mission: finding a good time and way of working out now that I'm back at work all day. I'm not an early morning person, so I don't think I'll be working out before work so now I just need to find something that works after I get home.

Keep up the good work guys!
