5 days Post-Op
So I had my bypass on Monday, December 21. An early Christmas gift to me! So far, so good. As of today, the abdominal pain is almost all gone. Finally had a bm today. I was wondering when that was gonna happen. Had to take a couple of stool softeners to shake things loose. I'm starting to be more active as well. Plan on taking a nice walk around the neighborhood today. Only thing that is a pain is I stil have a drain line in my stomach. I empty that about twice a day. No biggie, but it will be nice to have it come out on my first post-op visit on Wednesday.
Learning to schedule things like my eating and taking my supplements. My doc has taken me off my drugs for diabetes, arthritis and gout. Still taking for GERD and high blood pressure. I am down 10 lbs. as of this morning. Only 125 to go!
Sounds like it is going well! Have an awesome New Year!

Congrats on your success so far. Although everyone wants immediate transformation, remember to be patient and look for slow steady progress over a year+.
None of us gained the weight in a few months, so take a steady long term view on losing the weight, and tackling other goals like strength training, new approaches to nutrition, changes in how you and others see you after substantial weight loss, loose skin, etc.
Good luck!
